But when she met Fortunato…Petra is a little elephant that rejects her size and dreams of having a different physique.
After her expectations are once again disappointed, and after many frustrated attempts to lose weight using methods that did not suit her species, the elephant still had one thing left to try… Hoping to find a solution to her «problem» she begins a a trip that will lead to a very special encounter, fun adventures and, above all, will have her begin to willingly accept her natural shape and change her distorted perceptions about weight.
This story presents a metaphor of current culture and an allegory of a society that, despite idealizing models far removed from our daily reality, we all try to imitate them in vain. However, the story proposes an optimistic view, and conveys the message that authenticity is the key to achieving personal satisfaction, and that others accept us as we are.
